Two-factor authentication

After signing in, PixelBureau asks for a 6-digit code from an app such as 1Password, Google Authenticator or Authy. Even with your password or your inbox, nobody else can get in.

Turn it on

  1. “Settings › Account and security” → “Two-factor authentication” → “Turn on”.
  2. Scan the QR code with your app, or enter the key by hand.
  3. Enter the code shown by the app, then “Confirm”.
  4. Keep your recovery codes somewhere safe: each one works once if you lose your phone.

When you sign in

Enter the code shown by your app. No phone at hand? “Use a recovery code”, or “Get a code by email”.

Recovery codes

You get 8 of them when you turn it on. The page shows how many are left; “New recovery codes” replaces them all.

When your space requires it

An admin can require it in “Settings › Security” → “Require two-factor authentication” (they must turn it on for themselves first). Members without it are asked to turn it on before entering the space, and can’t turn it off while it’s required.

Lost your phone and your codes?

Write to support from the email address of your account: we check it’s you and turn two-factor off by hand.
