A virtual office, not a surveillance camera.
Being visible to your colleagues shouldn’t cost you your privacy. PixelBureau is built so you stay in control of what you share.
Hosted in Europe
The app and its data are hosted in the European Union.
Well-guarded sign-in
A link sent by email (signed, valid for 15 minutes, usable once) or an optional password, refused if it appears in a data leak. On top: two-factor authentication, which an admin can require for the whole space, and a check before every sensitive action.
One private space per company
Only the people added by an admin of your team can enter your space. No public directory, no passers-by.
Mic and camera really off
They only turn on when you talk to someone and are switched off afterwards, light included. A check screen shows you everything before you enter, and a muted mic stays muted.
Encrypted conversations
Sound and video travel directly between participants, encrypted by the browser (WebRTC). We don’t record them.
Minimal data
Name, email address, status and place on the map: that’s all PixelBureau needs. No ads, no resale, no third-party trackers: audience measurement on this site is anonymous, cookieless and self-hosted.
Your data, your rules.
PixelBureau applies the GDPR by design. For a specific question (IT, DPO, procurement), write to contact@pixelbureau.io.
- Your data belongs to you: export or deletion of your space on request.
- An admin can remove a member at any time; they lose access immediately.
- Data processing agreement (GDPR) provided to companies that need one.
Security questions
How do I sign in?
With a link sent by email or a password: two ways into the same account. The link by email always works, even if you set a password.
Do you store my password?
Only if you choose to set one, and never in plain text: it is hashed. It must be 8 characters at least, and passwords known from data leaks are refused.
Can I turn on two-factor authentication?
Yes: a 6-digit code from an app such as 1Password, Google Authenticator or Authy, with recovery codes and a code by email as a fallback. An admin can require it for the whole space.
What happens before a sensitive action?
Before changing security settings, the subscription, the owner, or deleting the space, PixelBureau checks it’s you again (two-factor code, password or code by email), then won’t ask for 15 minutes.
How do I see where I’m signed in?
In “Settings › Account and security” → “Devices”: every browser where you’re signed in, and a button to sign out of the others.
