The map editor

Admins rearrange the office as they like: furniture, rooms, floors and walls. Nothing changes for the team until you publish.

Open the editor

  1. Open “Settings › Floors and map”.
  2. Click “Edit map” next to the floor you want.
  3. At the top, choose “Objects” for furniture, or “Floor and walls”.

Objects

Pick an object in the palette (“Composite furniture”, “Desks and tables”…) and click the map to place it. Shift-click adds an object to the selection or removes it; arrows or a drag move the selection; ⌘C and ⌘V (Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V on Windows) copy and paste it; Delete removes it.

Floor and walls

  1. “Floor” (S key): choose the “Floor material”, then “Brush”, “Rectangle” or “Fill”, which paints the whole room up to the walls.
  2. “Wall” (M key): drag from one tile to another for a straight wall, hold Shift for a corner. A wall drawn against another one joins it.
  3. “Eraser” (G key): removes a wall, then a floor; the walls next to it join up again.
  4. Right-click: eyedropper, which takes the material under the mouse.

Walls already block the way. To block other tiles (under furniture, by the water…), use “Block” and “Free” in “Blocked tiles”.

Undo and redo

“Undo” (⌘Z, or Ctrl+Z on Windows) and “Redo” (⇧⌘Z, or Ctrl+Y) go back over every action, objects as well as floor and walls.

Publish

Click “Publish”: everyone in the space gets the new map. If something will get in the team’s way (an assigned desk you changed), “Before you publish” shows it: “Fix”, or “Publish anyway”. Every published version is kept.
